When women go through their mensuration they are treated as untouchable and impure, the ?Chaupadi? practice includes women sleeping in the shed, abandoning them from entering their homes, stopping them from taking part in any social activities, cannot fill water from the public taps or water sources, cannot go to the temple or pass by one, cannot touch the livestock and even the food is server outside the house without touching them or their dishes no matter how cold or hot it is outside.
